Hello Everyone!

We are excited about becoming part of The Potomac Horse Center. UpCo will have a permanent home at the most centrally located facility in Montgomery County. Rain or shine the show will go on. PHC has improved the footing in both the indoor and the outdoor arenas with sand and rubber and the outdoor has been enlarged. Parking has moved to the old “darby” area below the field entrance. The ground and driveway are well surfaced with stone dust, with plenty of parking space.

We are trying some new things. Some of the divisions are the same and we have slipped in a few new classes to experiment with. The dress code for hunters has been somewhat relaxed. In equitation you will still be required to dress in regular showing attire. There will be no membership fees anyone participating is eligible for end of the series awards. We will hold a Spring/Summer H/J series starting in April with four shows. The medal finals will be November 2 and will be sponsored by The US HUNTER JUMPER ASSOCIATION. There may also be winter jumper and hunter schooling shows... Every show will have a high point trainer award. At the end of a series there will be a LEADING TRAINER award. UpCo is very pleased to have the support of PHC and its staff as well as those in the community that are helping to get it rolling again. Our goal is to have horse shows in our county that are fun, competitive and have something for everyone. We would like to invite riders, trainers, amateurs and pros to join us for the 2008 show season. We guarantee you will have a great time.
